Welcome the Rileys blog. For those of you who are new Riley is our beloved German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP). Riley is 3 yrs old and is just another member of our family & neighborhood.
She is a wonderful pet and an even better bird dog. She has so much energy, which is fantastic in the field not always so fantastic at home. She loves to hunt, even if it is in the backyard. She has treed pheasants in our trees in the backyard more than once. She will hunt all day long and never stop until she gets to the truck.
This is partly why we decided to have her breed, because as a hunting dog owner I was anxious to see what kind of litter she would have. So we set out to find a suitable mate for her. We found many but decided that until we proved what kind of pups she would have the higher priced studs would have to wait. We then found Camo, who is the dog of a well know friend of a friend. After looking at Camo and hearing of the traits he had and seeing the physical appearance we decided Camo was a well suited mate.

That is when it all began.
